Born and raised in Orange, CA, he excelled in basketball at Villa Park High School, where his leadership earned him 1st team All-Orange County honors and a retired #22 jersey. He continued his athletic career on a basketball scholarship at Point Loma Nazarene University, serving as team captain in his senior year. Dr. MacGinnis graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California’s School of Dentistry and completed his orthodontic specialty training at UCLA, where he served as chief resident. He has received multiple accolades for his clinical skills and research. Outside of work, Dr. MacGinnis enjoys triathlons and spending time with his wife, Wendy, and their two children, Dane and Morgan.
